Ryan D. Kaltenbaugh, CHS-III
Vice President, Global Marketing & Strategic Partnerships
Mr. Kaltenbaugh has over 18 years of experience in business development, national/global accounts, customer service management and product marketing in the physical/electronic security and fire/life safety markets. He recently served videoNEXT for two years as Director of Global Business Development and was promoted to Vice President of Global Marketing and Strategic Partnerships in 2009, where he manages all product and corporate marketing. Originally a native of Southern California, Mr. Kaltenbaugh began his career in 1990 in fire/life safety systems and has an extensive background in low-voltage systems. Prior to joining videoNEXT, Mr. Kaltenbaugh served as national accounts manager for Red Hawk Industries, a UTC Fire and Security Company (NYSE:UTX), where he developed large strategic relationships with many of the nation’s largest financial institutions and retail chains.
Prior to Red Hawk, Mr. Kaltenbaugh held several management positions with ISR Solutions, Inc., before and after it was acquired by Stanley Security Solutions, a division of Stanley Works (NYSE: SWK). At ISR, Mr. Kaltenbaugh served as director of national service operations where he directed all service related business units, including a 24-hour security operations center. With his leadership, Mr. Kaltenbaugh successfully grew recurring monthly revenue attrition and service sales by 33%. He was then asked to assist the CEO in starting the national accounts team at ISR. As a national accounts manager, he developed long term relationships with Ernst & Young, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, Verio, VeriSign, Tandberg and several others, closing over $8M is annual sales (over 2 years) and exceeding sales projections. Mr. Kaltenbaugh also managed a four person engineering team that led the successful implementations of enterprise level access control systems at over 400 locations globally within a two-year period.
Prior to ISR and Stanley, Mr. Kaltenbaugh served with Siemens Building Technologies (NYSE: SI) in sales and service-related positions throughout the West Coast. Mr. Kaltenbaugh has received numerous awards and recognition for his sales and service performance, including in 2005 receiving the "top gun" award while at Stanley for ranking within the top 10 sales people nationally.
Mr. Kaltenbaugh is active in a number of public causes, including the American Red Cross, where he has volunteered since 1998. He has served as public information officer for several chapters and most notably managed disaster relief operations for Hurricane Katrina in Southern Mississippi in 2005, where he managed over 350 Red Cross volunteers in seven counties. Mr. Kaltenbaugh has served as the national capital region's committee chairman for disaster public affairs and communications since 2003. He also is an current member of the board of director's development committee and is the vice chair of disaster operations for the national capital region's disaster services committee. He recently managed all public affairs and was elected primary public information officer (PIO) for the 56th Presidential Inauguration for the American Red Cross. Mr. Kaltenbaugh also serves on the host committee for Oscar Night DC benefiting the American Red Cross of the national capital region. He also volunteered his time on the 2008 presidential campaign doing financial development. He continues his active memberships with the American Red Cross, International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS International) and the Northern Virginia Technology Council.
Most notably, Mr. Kaltenbaugh maintains Certification in Homeland Security Level III (CHS-III) from the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security and is advancing to Level V. This professional membership is administered by the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute and is widely considered the most notable certification in the Homeland Security in North America.
